With 8 victories, 5 wins in a row, and another run at the at the USCS Championship, Hammer can't wait for Speed Weeks 2007. Word not yet in on whether or not he has landed a 16 race NASCAR Weekly Series ride after his 60 lap test at South Boston, Virginia.

2006 Florida State Sprint Car Champion


Hammer wins every Heat, every Feature and every race at the Florida State Sprint Car Championship! United Sprint Car Series Hoosier Tire Young Guns points leader Danny Martin, Jr. from Sarasota, Florida collected his eighth O'Reilly USCS feature win of the 2006 season and his fifth series win in a row in-route to winning the 7th annual Florida State Championship Race Saturday night at Volusia Speedway Park.

Hammer Dominates Opening Night of Florida State Sprint Car Championship

Barberville, FL - Sprint Car Ace, Danny "The Hammer" Martin, Jr. dominated the opening night of The Florida State Sprint Car Championship. The Hammer won the Lucas Oil Power Dash, his Heat Race, and the Feature event at Florida's super-fast Volusia Speedway Park. It is the fourth Feature victory in a row in the O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series. The finals are on Saturday night.

Woodstock, GA - O'Reilly USCS Hoosier Tire Young Gun points leader, Danny Martin, Jr. from Sarasota, Florida captured his third O'Reilly Auto Parts United Sprint Car Series www.uscsracing.com Outlaw Thunder Tour feature race win in a row by winning the 25-lap O'Reilly USCS feature at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia on Saturday night. Martin bested a field comprised of twenty-two drivers from nine states in the thirty-seventh event of the series 10th Anniversary Season. The red-hot Martin also ran his O'Reilly USCS feature win total to six for the 2006 season.

Martin grabs O'Reilly USCS Garnertown Labor Day Speed Spectacular loot


Luray, TN - Danny Martin, Jr. from Sarasota, Florida lead all 30 laps of the O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series portion of the Garnertown Speedway Labor Day Speed Spectacular on Sunday night to collect his fourth O'Reilly USCS www.uscsracing.com feature win of the year. Martin started outside of the front row after also winning the Butlerbuilt Second Heat Race next to fifteen-year-old rookie standout, Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas who won the Engler Tool and Machine First Heat Race.

Martin collects fifth 2006 O’Reilly USCS win at Riverside Speedway


Rome, GA – O’Reilly USCS Hoosier Tire Young Gun points leader, Danny Martin, Jr. from Sarasota, Florida captured Friday night’s 30-lap O’Reilly Auto Parts United Sprint Car Series www.uscsracing.com Outlaw Thunder Tour feature race at Riverside Speedway in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. Martin bested a field comprised of drivers from nine states in the thirty-sixth event of the series 10th Anniversary Season. It was the twenty-year old drivers fifth O’Reilly USCS feature win of the 2006 season and his second win in a row after winning last Sunday night’s race at Garnertown Speedway in Jackson, TN.

Martin who is in second place in the series National point standings and leads the Hoosier Tire young Guns point standings for drivers under twenty-five years-old started in the fourth position in the race after drawing a four in the K&N Filters Pole Award draw. He then chased four-time O’Reilly USCS National Champion Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee who started on the pole for seventeen laps before charging around Gray in lapped traffic. Martin captures O'Reilly USCS Asphalt win at Greenville Pickens on fumes!

Greenville S.C. – Twenty year-old Danny Martin, Jr. from Sarasota, Florida won the O’Reilly United Sprint Car Series “Asphalt Thunder” Tour main event at Greenville Pickens Speedway Friday night driving the www.eStateTrafficSchool.com Shaw prototype Sprint Car. Martin, who was the 2004 and 2005 National title runner-up started fourth, setting the fastest qualifying time of 17.114 seconds around the historic half-mile asphalt oval. Average Speed of 105.1770 miles per hour.

Martin collects Another Win at Rome Speedway

Rome, GA – O’Reilly USCS Hoosier Tire Young Gun points leader, Danny Martin, Jr. from Sarasota, Florida won Sunday night’s 30-lap O’Reilly Auto Parts United Sprint Car Series Southern Thunder Tour feature race at Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia. It was the second O’Reilly USCS win of the season for Martin who is in second place in the series National point standings and leads the Hoosier Tire young Guns point standings for drivers under twenty-five years-old.

Hammer and The Media


Danny “The Hammer” Martin, he was again crowned Young Gun Champion in the United Sprint Car Series and was awarded Wild Card Driver of the Year by the racing media and the Sprint Car Hall of Fame.

Danny finished 2005 by qualifying for the feature event in the United States Auto Club (USAC) Sprint Car event held in conjunction with the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show in Orlando.

Hammer 2006 Update


Hammer began 2006 by qualifying for the Feature Events in the first two World of Outlaws races during Florida Speed Weeks. Hammer plans to increase the number of asphalt open wheel races and to seek a driver development agreement with an outstanding team and car owner.
